Runtime Sound is me in a music and sound production guise. If I can be of service to you, contact me at ... I'm particularly interested in working on game and film projects, but feel free to inquire about any sort of media project.

A Few Samples

Sound Effects

In addition to music, I produce sound effects using both original foley as well as synthesizers/libraries. A few samples:

Acoustic/Electric Instrumental Performance-based Music

Though I happily branch out into any sort of performance and music production that takes my fancy, my particular specialty is combining live acoustic performances with synthesized bits.

You can find more of this sort at http://www.youtube.com/BuckoFutreal.

Here's a few more audio samples of an older vintage:

  • Wise Stroll
fantasy RPG appropriate stuff featuring strumstick, guitar, and synth-flute
  • Twister Skies
    acoustic harmonica upon a Fallout-like wasteland ambiance...yes—that's right, it's post-apocalyptic spaghetti western
  • Uganda in the Seventies
thumb piano with Mellotron strings, bass, and hand percussion
  • Pleading
bamboo flute with bugs and birds
  • Delving for Danger
a Jethro Tull rock-style instrumental featuring strumstick and electric guitar
  • Delving for Mario
a remix of the Delving song above, this time with mandolin added and a jaunty Mario-world sort of arrangement
  • Spice Road
another Jethro Tull sort of thing than moves from acoustic to orchestral to rock, features Appalachian dulcimer and my brother Andy's electric guitar
  • A Day Without Contrails
probably my favorite work of all the stuff I've ever done, this banjo/guitar/bass/oboe/cello piece was composed on 9/12/2001

Tavern Songs

Here are a few well-received pieces I contributed to the NeverwinterNights scene a few years ago...they are mixed as "tavern" songs, with room reverb to spare.

Synthetic "Orchestral" Pieces

The following bits are largely performed on keyboard and MIDI-guitar, with substantial sequencing.
