Bukka's Bad Trip — the CD
Haunted off and on by the ghost of Bukka White, Andy and I recorded these most of these largely improvisational tracks live in Shreveport and Cambridge. It's part primitive Americana, part post-blues, and mostly acoustic, featuring guitar, Appalachian dulcimer, gourdtar, bass, banjo and harmonica.

Bonus Track: "Story from the Journey"
I had thought the recording of this was busted, so it didn't make it onto the Bukka disc as released. Not sure what my concern was, so now it's available both as video and an free MP3 track you can download. You can think of as a free bonus track to the Bukka disc.

Who is Bukka?

Bukka White (1909-1977) was a guitar & piano playing Delta blues singer. Famously, he was a friend and inspiration to both Howlin' Wolf and B.B. King. You can read more about Bukka on Wikipedia.
During the Cambridge recording session for this disc, we spent some down time drinking dark beer and listening to Bukka. Not surprisingly, this culminated in the dark-blues title track.
